ATROPOS

A few thoughts from the artist.

In Ancient Greek Mythology , Atropos was one of the three goddesses of fate and destiny. The lives were believed to be threads and Atropos was the goddess who decided when to cut a thread, terminating a life.

The absence of vibrant colors, the general feeling of the palette make the painting more dramatic. Lines resembling threads, brush strokes representing lives, longer ones or shorter ones, according to Atropos' choice.

The sea itself has often determined the lives of many people. The sea has played the role of Atropos, one of the goddesses of fate.
