KYMA means "wave" in Greek, and for me, this painting is all about power and movement. I wanted to show the moment of a wave as curls in on itself, the moment right before it breaks. It’s a force of nature, something wild and alive. I used deep blues, foamy whites, and soft gradients to show that energy, but also to let the eye move with the water, to feel the energy.

Painting this felt like riding the wave while it was forming. I let the curves guide my brush and focused on capturing that swirling motion in the center.
