This was my first attempt to paint a seascape on a larger canvas. The inspiration came from an aerial view of Tainaron Peninsula, the southern point of Europe mainland.

Large waves are not common in Greece but this particular place, due to its orientation, often offers unique, Aegean waves. I tried to find the colour of the wild, Aegean Sea as it appears in the winter. The work turned rather abstract but to me it is very realistic and special.
