Charybdis is a small but intense exploration of water as pure energy. Unlike my more representational works, this piece leans toward abstraction—stripping away familiar forms to focus entirely on movement, force, and emotion. The composition is dramatic, with swirling contrasts that pull the eye into a vortex-like rhythm, echoing the myth it’s named after.

What fascinated me while creating Charybdis was how much expression could come from such a limited space. In this painting, water becomes both subject and symbol—a restless, untamed force that exists beyond narrative. It’s less about the sea we see, and more about the sea we feel.
