From Above II is a commissioned acrylic painting that holds a special place in my heart—it was my very first commission. Normally, I work with oils, but I was excited to step out of my comfort zone and take on the challenge. The client had originally fallen in love with a previous piece that had already been sold, so this was my take on recreating that feeling. I made sure to keep her updated throughout the process, and even though it didn’t turn out exactly the same, she was really happy with the result. That meant the world to me.

The painting shows the view of the sea from above, capturing the peaceful yet powerful energy of the ocean. I used shades of blue, green, and yellow to create a sense of depth and movement, with waves rolling in and crashing along the sandy shore. I spent time on the details of the waves to bring that sense of motion to life. Working on this piece reminded me how much I enjoy pushing myself artistically—and how rewarding it can be to create something meaningful for someone else.
