ea Splash is my attempt to freeze a moment of pure energy. I was drawn to the instant a wave crashes with full force, sending water into the air like an explosion of light and movement. I wanted to capture that wild beauty, the way the sea lifts itself up and lets go, unpredictable and alive. Painting all that foam and motion felt like painting something in mid-breath, before it settles back down.

What fascinates me about this piece is how close and intense it feels. The splash almost spills out of the canvas. I layered different shades of white and blue to show the depth inside the foam and the darker, more mysterious waters underneath. Sea Splash reminds me of how powerful and free the sea is and how something so fierce can also be beautiful and uplifting.
