The painting holds a captivating story within its depths. Initially, it embarked on a completely different path. My only intention was to accentuate the luminosity within the crest of the wave. All I had envisioned was a towering wave, almost touching the sky.

The color palette I initially used was completely different. As I patiently waited for the oils to dry, I came to the realization that although the colors were pleasing, they did not agree with my original vision. Thus, with a deep breath, I made the decision to transform the entire painting. Not only did I alter the colors, but I also modified the entire movement of the towering wave.

All of these experiences and transformations are still hiding within "The Deep Shadows".
