Hello and welcome to the world of a sea painter! I’m so happy you’re here.
This is my very first blog post, and I wanted to take a moment to tell you why I’ve created this space, what you can expect, and what I hope it becomes over time.
If you’ve followed me on social media or seen my artwork before, you might already know how much the sea means to me. But there’s so much more behind every painting, and I finally have a place to share it all.
Why I Started This Blog
Over the years, I’ve received so many questions from people who follow my work: questions about my process, my inspiration, my materials, my life. I try to answer as many as I can, but I’ve always felt that social media isn’t quite the right place to say everything I’d like to say.
That’s the reason why I decided to start this blog. I wanted a space where I can write freely and honestly, without character limits or the fast pace of scrolling. Somewhere I can bring all those scattered thoughts and moments together in one place. Think of it as a slow and steady companion to the work I share online.
What I’ll Be Sharing Here
This blog will be a mix of many things. I’ll write about my work, both finished and in progress. I’ll talk about what inspires me, especially my deep connection with my subject as a sea painter, and how that is expressed in my paintings. I’ll also share thoughts on technique, color, composition, and what I’ve learned (or struggling to unlearn) over time.
Some posts will be more personal, like a journal. Others might be more technical. And sometimes, I’ll just follow a feeling and see where the writing takes me. My plan is vague with only general lines, just like the first lines on my white canvas.
Let’s Stay Connected
What I'm hoping for this blog is not to be a place for me to talk. I’d really love for it to be a conversation. So, if you have questions, thoughts, or even suggestions for future posts, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Many of the things I’ll be writing about begin with a question someone asked me, often without even realizing how meaningful it would become.
Blogging is something new to me, so I truly appreciate your support and your feedback. I hope you will enjoy your online, calm and maybe even a little inspiring visit to my ocean art world.
If you’d like to follow along, feel free to subscribe so you’ll get a notification when I post something new. No spam, no pressure, just an occasional note from my world to yours.
Thank you for being here at the very beginning. I’m really looking forward to sharing this new journey with you.
Warm wishes,
Marina🌊
